Hello. I've been using Cool VL since the media filter patch was added (thank you very much!!). For the most part I've found it to be a good viewer, occasionally choppy, but otherwise works well. At least until I logged in last evening. The problem persists today. I've rebaked several times. Relogged several times. Cleared cache. Done the test avatar thing. Pretty much everything I can think of. Returning to LL's V1 I don't experience this issue. And it's not just my avatar - it's everything. Can someone please identify the problem for me? Thank you.

Vamp

Your problem comes from corrupted cached textures.

Log off, clear your cache manually, and relog.

Also make sure to use a different cache directory for each viewer you are using (else the cache may get corrupted: the Cool VL Viewer uses a cache version corresponding to early v2 viewers (v2.2 or so), which is incompatible with v1 caches and newer v2 caches).

Thank you very much Henri. I had already created a new folder when I realized the download hadn't done it for me. I deleted the file called texture.cache from folder texturecache. Is that the only one I should keep an eye on?

Thanks again. Happy to be able to use Cool again. :)

It's better to delete the whole texturecache folder, else you'll uselessly keep stale files that will just eat up your hard disk space.
