Some textures with alpha, when putted on prim, look like "Fast Alpha" is enabled. And theres no "Fast Alpha" item in advanced menu under rendering submenu
The Fast Alpha option has been replaced with two options, one for non-deferred rendering (shadows off) and one for deferred rendering (shadows on).
They are in Advanced -> Rendering -> Automatic Alpha Masks (deferred/non-deferred rendering)
Disabling "Automatic Alpha Masks" is the equivalent of disabling "Fast Alpha": it results in smoother alpha textures, but with ordering issues when several alpha textures are overlapping in the depth field (i.e. an alpha texture which is behind the other in the 3D world may appear in front once rendered with Automatic Alpha Masks off).
Thank you for confirming my suspicions, that's how I interpreted these. However, I have observed that while running on the deferred rendering pipeline with both are options are checked, the results are really very pixellated and improve the second the option for non-deferred is unchecked.
It could, however, be all in my mind -- or is there an odd chance that in some strange situations both might indeed be active and kind of overlap or fight?
