Hello,

is it a feature in CoolViewer who can inform me easy about

1) The total of the scripts who are running on my own avatar ?
2) a detailled list with all the runnings scripts by worn objects ?

The reason is that I would like to be able to control myself my runnings scripts and easy see what object I can remove to reduce Lag .

Thanks...

Nope. These features have not yet been ported from v2/3 viewers, mainly by lack of time and because of the fact that until recently (less than one month), there was no possibility for scripters to reduce the memory footprint of their scripts and it resulted in Mono scripts to *appear* as heavier than LSO scripts, when it's actually the other way around. Mono scripts were reported as always using 64Kb of memory (when they actually use a dynamic amount of memory and usually much less than the 64Kb max), while LSO scripts were reported (correctly) as using 16Kb. It made old scripted items to appear as less laggy when it was the other way around (LSO scripts are also much slower and take therefore more time to execute than Mono scripts in each server frame slot).

This feature will come to the Cool VL Viewer one day or another but it is in no way a priority, especially since now you can write a script that would do the same thing...

you had right ... I founded a HUD Scripts Scanner free on the marketplace. This feature was not really useful on a viewer. Thanks again.

When you get around to it, even just a bare script count (without counting memory) on a highlighted object would be lovely. Manually checking prims on hair I thought was script-free, or trying to find a scripted hud object in an evergrowing inventory is a pain in the arse. :)

(I know, more important things to worry about...just tossing my 2 cents in...)

The Inspect floater is already providing this...

You can't know the script count of an object in your inventory: the object must be rezzed first (either "worn" on your Av, or rezzed "on the ground").

Duh, I'm not a blithering n00b. :P No other scripted object that counts scripts can see inside my inventory, so why would I think this feature would? o.O

No, my reference to inventory was simply the fact that I can lose things in it - if I don't use a scripted widget to count other scripts that often...well, then that gets lost too if I can't remember what it's named. :)

Not on something I'm wearing, only on objects rezzed out.

I can't count on being able to rez hair out anymore because SOME hair designers have now taken to including "thief scripts" - they delete the hair immediately when it's rezzed, and report you to the designer as a possible copybotter, even though you just wanted to adjust something or move a few prims around. (For example, adjusting a hair for a furry head usually takes more serious adjustment than resizing.)

Yes you can, albeit with a small trick since there's no Inspect entry in the pie menu for your Av.

Proceed as follow:
  • Right click and "Inspect" any in-world object around your Av (the purpose of this step is just to pop up the inspect floater).
  • Without closing the inspect floater, left click on your attachment.
Done !
