For some reason, mesh objects -- or at least everything that my friend has been trying to get me to see -- are invisible to me. This is from a fresh installation of Cool VL Viewer 1.26.2 (10) Dec 16 2011 12:45:08 (Cool VL Viewer).

I have Basic Shaders enabled, and Hardware Skinning. Are there other options I need to have set in any particular way?

It's as up to date as it can be, alas (nVidia 285.62, on a GTS 250). Oh, well, mesh isn't crucial yet. Thank you for the response.

EDIT: Figured out what it was, and it is irritating. I had to poke a hole in the firewall for port 12046, since (so I infer) mesh only comes over HTTP, even if one is not using HTTP Texture downloading.

Err... You shouldn't use such restrictive firewall rules and should allow running applications to contact external servers on any port (only incoming connections shall be restricted as to which ports they can reach on your computer).

Be aware that the viewer uses many ports in the 12000-13000 range: closing them will cause havoc and not only for mesh !
