On the pie menu I don't have the edit "slice" for objects that don't belong to me but
if I start editing an object of mine I can select others objects and obtain relative dates (name of object, creator and so).
Yes, on Menu Bar --> Tools I *don't* have enabled "Select Only My Objects".

This is in no way a bug, but on the contrary the correction of an oddity that allowed you to open the "Edit" floater on no-build lands and for objects that you could not edit at all in the first place. You may override this behaviour by setting the "View Admin Options" on, but I see little point doing it... To inspect others' objects (with creation date, creator, owner, last owner, number of objects and scripts in contents) you got the "Inspect" option in the pie menu.

I am also missing the direct edit, it was verry usefull for checking how many prims an item has before buying it.

An other thing it is usefull for is forcing vendor textures to rez.

Often you stand in front of a vendor and the picture has not rezed yet, just open it in edit mode for a second and it rezes.

I reverted to the old behaviour in v1.26.4.20.
