Textures upload is working just fine for me...

Please, provide the full SecondLife.log, as well as the *full* viewer info (why did you remove the sim name ?... How can I test it if I don't know which sim you were in ?...).

Note also that the "Problem with file" error denotes an issue with the viewer proving unable to read the file (perhaps a bad permission on the directory, or a character in a directory name that pertains to a different locale than what the viewer is ran under: hard to tell, given you also hid the filename and its path in the screenshot...).

Here are the relevant log lines:
Code:
2012-09-26T11:32:13Z WARNING: LLAppViewer::mainLoop:  Someone took over my signal/exception handler (post messagehandling) !
2012-09-26T11:32:14Z INFO: LLViewerTextureList::createUploadFile: Image: C:\Temp\8184ae3a-fb07-abe5-3724-7976913b2ccc.tmp is corrupt.
Obviously, some software on your system grabbed the viewer exception message handler and caused the temporary file it creates while converting the image to get corrupted. Check that your antivirus is not interfering and/or that a virus is not infecting your system.
Also, it is abnormal, on a Windows 7 system, that the temporary file gets created in C:\Temp (it should be created in your account temporary directory instead, i.e. in C:\Users\your_login\AppData\Local\Temp), which denotes either a virus infection or a bad configuration of your system (verify the environment variables and remove any TEMP variable that would force the temporary directory to C:\Temp).

Hi,

There are lots of programs that might check/modify just created files on windows, on-access virus scanners are just the most common.
Typical other candidate are for example: Image Previewers that create thumbnails, Tortoise SVN directory scanners, some Adobe Acrobat Quick Start tools
and so on.

The error message Henri picked shows that another program probably injects a Debug DLL into the running process, which makes it fail, this is typical of Virus scanners and anti-cheat tools:
"Someone took over my signal/exception handler (post messagehandling) "

If you know how to use Sysinternals ProcessExplorer, you can find out who is doing that:
http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysi ... 96653.aspx

Basically, start up Cool Viewer, try to upload a picture, than switch to ProcessExplorer and select the CoolVLViewer.exe process from the upper tab.
Now select 'View->Show Lower Pane', switch it to show the loaded DLLs and look at the provided list in the lower part of the window.
If you see any DLL from your virus scanner or similar stuff listed there, you have something hooking into the viewer.

If in doubt, post the list of loaded DLLs for the process.

Hi Kathrine,

thanks for your help. Find the output from ProcessExplorer attached.

BTW. I didn't make any changes to the system - only installed the new versions of the Cool VL Viewer.
It worked for years before...

Might be a dud, but I see two suspect Explorer Shell extension dll's in the process (besides a few more that are probably harmless).

Might be totally unrelated, but did you install either the 'Dropbox' client or some ISO mounter from http://www.pismotechnic.com/pfm/ap/ on that machine lately?

There are a few other apps running that might do file monitoring, but none of them would replace the Exception handler.

Hi Kathrine,

Dropbox is installed since spring 2011 and the iso mounter is installed since 2010.

The problem is strange. I did some more tests in the meantime. Deleted the new versions and resinstalled an old version (1.26.4.28) - same error.

But I didn't make any change to my system in the last weeks. I'm confused.

FOUND IT!!!

There was one change to my PC in the last days. I forgot it - sorry for that.

The Apple iCloud Software had been updated to Version 2.0 - that caused the issue. Downgraded it to the old release and the error is gone!

Maybe a useful info for other running in the same issue.
