Cool VL Viewer forum

I have just installed Cool VL Viewer & love it but for some reason it won't display tags or avatar names over avatar heads. I see no names or titles at all. Help please.

You simply disabled them... Preferences floater -> General tab -> next to "Avatar names" select "Always" in the combo. To show your own avatar name also uncheck "Hide my name on my screen".

My settings are that way, but still with each relog the tags show up the after a while they fade and are gone to me.

That's typical of the "Show Temporarily" setting for avatar names. Simply change this setting for "Always" (and do use the "Apply" button of the preferences floater to enable it, or use the "OK" button to close the floater: pressing "Cancel" instead would reinstate the old setting).

Thank you Henri for getting back to me so quickly. I have ut set on always, that's how I set it from the beginning, but even though it's set on always the tags keep disappearing & only show up again on relog, then are gone in a little while.

What you describe is impossible... I suggest you delete your settings file (user_settings/settings_coolvlviewer_126n.xml - the users_settings sub-directory is at the same level as the logs directory which location depends on your OS): this will get all settings back to default.
