... and many people agree with me too, and then what? If I understand where we are now, we do not disagree on the GPL anymore, but on copyright and the notion of derivative work itself. I won't try to find the right article in the law for that (even less in US law!), but if a binary isn't a derivated work, what prevents me to take any copyleft project, patch it, and just distribute the binary alone? Other point, a binary is anyway subjected to copyright, I hope we agree on that. (otherwise, you could just make copies of any piece of software: Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, etc. and distribute/resell it as you want without asking for MS's or Adobe's permission).
So my question: who does RestraindLife.exe's copyright belong to? Can you seriously claim it for yourself only? Well, I believe you cannot. I believe most of its copyright is LL's. Therefore you need some license from LL for distributing it.

Satomi, everything has been said already on this topic. Beside, I'm afraid your distorted and abusive interpretation of the GPL will not buy you any Open Source developer's sympathy. Trolling on the forum will not change anything as far as the licensing goes.
This is why I am locking this thread and ask you all to stop posting on this forum about it.
If someone is still unhappy about someone else's license, please take it privately.
