Is there anybody else who thought about uses for RLV that are not related to BDSM activities?


so far i've made:

- a privacy attachment that lets you set up an allowlist for IM, using the RLV IM restrictions
- a version of the automap attachment for stargates that uses RLV to actually start the TP when you walk through the event horizon of a gate, instead of bringing up the map.
- clothes remover scripts that go in one prim part of an outfit and remove non-prim parts as well.

Oh yes, I've scripted some of my outfits that way!

Those "wardrobe management" RLV commands really are useful.
When I added the save/restore outfit functions in OpenCollar, and later the search-and-wear function, it wasn't BDSM I had in mind. Only useful shortcuts that makes it possible not to browse your inventory window for changing your outfit.
Locking clothing items is also useful for not unintendedly losing your tatoos.

Yes, I wrote an attachment that uses the RLV WindLight controls to set specific skies for various sims as I move from place to place.

by the way, the rlv @tpto= support is now in the mainstream stargate code.
any stargate that is an opengate version 2.10 or above hands out an automap attachment that does RLV tpto if rlv is enabled.

Not to mention that I'm pushing for support of RLV tpto in Hands of Omega TARDISes, which work on the principle very similar to stargates...

Next version of MechanizedLife's FilterCam will be RLV enabled. It will automatically select any Windlight preset matching with any currently selected FilterCam preset.

It's already working, but not released yet as it is testing phase.

Bit older, but love to see RLV as a cool extension to regular viewer. Non-bdsm usage is its benefit.

The @tpto is one command of that sort, another one is @sit. I had crashed very often in the past and after log in was standing near the chair or bed or whatever i was sitting on. So, made a device that is checking where i am sitting on and sit me on that item after log in, so i continue sitting over the relog.
