Thanks for the great viewer.(Cool VL Viewer)

Is it possible to calculate and display Object Complexity?
If this feature is not available, I would like to request it.

While Avatar Complexity can be calculated on the server side and accessed via LSL, Object Complexity calculation is not provided in LSL. The reason seems to be that the results vary significantly depending on the rendering environment. It appears this was previously submitted to Jira but was rejected.

However, if it can be implemented easily, I would like a feature to display Object Complexity.
I usually use Cool VL Viewer (Linux x86_64), and it’s inconvenient to launch FireStorm just to check Object Complexity.

J'utilise habituellement Cool VL Viewer (Linux x86_64).

Well, when LL added this info to the objects weights floater, I elected not to backport it... The reason was that the "render cost" calculation is plain bogus and misleading, and does not at all reflect the actual time needed to render an object (and worst, this value cannot even help you comparing two versions of an object for the purpose of optimizing it when you create/build it).

I (reluctantly) added this info for next release, but added a tool tip to it:
Quote:
Please note that the render cost displayed here is an arbitrary (and plain bogus) calculation (similar to the Avatar Render Cost) and does not actually reflect the rendering time for any specific hardware or viewer (for example 100% transparent faces are not rendered at all by most viewers but get a 4 times cost factor applied to their associated objects because alpha blending is costly... when at all rendered).

So, yeah... Not very helpful, and rather misleading...

Thank you very much. I am very happy... :D :D :D

I also confirmed that the same calculation results. https://i.imgur.com/8CSqksM.jpeg
