So alot of people use this crashers, there is a tool in market place for free wich analyzes the streaming cost and sets the camera to verry far... so my thinking iss, why cant a detector be build into the viewer if an object is rezzed that has alot streaming cost and at the same time the free memory from the graphic cards sinks dramatically down enormous, derrender this object immediately.. it is possible, but im not good in this, because im not familiar with the render engine.... what do you think about this feature. It would kill this damn crashers... |

I'm still to see such an object crashing the Cool VL Viewer... I have been the victim of some griefers in the past few months, but none of their "crasher objects" could ever crash my viewer (they did slow it down, but not enough to prevent me to derender the offending objects manually). |

well for me they did, my vaio has not enough gpu power lol ![]() but it would be nice if you could build in a system like that, because i dunno where i can detect the graphics card memory.. the object cost is easy... you could build it in optional. with a setting where you can set object max cost and memory lowest level... or something like this, this would be verry cool, because the graphics crasher dont work then anymore, and i would recommend it if you would share this piece with other viewer creators, so that anybody has a good protection. |
