Cool VL Viewer forum

Hi there, I have just started using the Cool SL Viewer, and see that the MAX Prim size is 128m..

Being a resident of OSGrid, I am just a little used to making prims 200m etc, and was wondering if there was a way to let cool SL viewer use these sizes as well, or will I have to go back to hippo to get them?

I voluntarily limited the prim size to 128m to lower the possibilities of grieving (256m being the size of the sims). I'd like to hear about grid admins and owners about this max prim size issue before increasing the limit in the Cool SL Viewer...

Well perosnally I have 19 regions on OSGrid hosted on 2 VPS servers, Using the sizes 200m and over is good in that it not only allows me to build as I wish, but it's also good when it comes to linking things across region boundries, and to date have several regions with tunnels that go into next door regions, having the long length helps with the border crossings.

I can understand your concerns regarding Griefers using the max prim size to do things, but I would honestly think if they wanted to do something like that they could just as well do it with the 128m limit as well..

The latest releases of the Cool SL Viewer now allow to build prims up to 256m in any of their dimensions, on OpenSim grids.
