Hello,

the memory usage bar is a bit weird, as it looks like 'almost full' for like everything above 65 or something percent.
Is there a way to improve it a bit?

I'd be happy with a very small bar for everything up to like 40% as this isn't really interesting for anyone. memory usage gets interesting once it hits a value above 65% +

:-)

It's not weird at all... When the bar turns yellow, it means the viewer is taking measures to lower the memory usage and keep it under the danger zone (increasing the textures discard bias, lowering the number of objects kept in memory, decreasing the delay before which no more seen textures/objects get wiped out, etc, etc). When it turns red, the viewer takes harsher measures (lowering the draw distance, resetting the camera view, etc) to prevent crashes. The level (in percent) at which such measures occur depends on your available memory, on the maximum addressable space (3 or 4Gb, depending whether your OS is a 32bits or 64bits one), on memory fragmentation, etc... It can't be adjusted to preset values but is instead dynamically computed.

This will not be changed.
