Camera Issues (Feature Request? :?)

I've searched for about an hour on the forums about this issue, and I know of the camera complaint another had about the camera being able to zoom out far enough. That is NOT the issue I'm having. In fact it's the exact opposite. I want to know if there is a way (or can be a way) to zoom the camera in close/inside the body.

I desire this feature for a couple reasons, but the main reasons are I'm somewhat of a photographer in SL, so zooming in to the Nth degree and cropping pictures in a certain way can make a desired effect. The other main reason is editting, and loosing prims inside your body. When you can dip the camera into your body easily you can take the thing out with little or no fuss. Again I don't know if this is a repost of an old and/or addressed issue, but any input would be greatly appriecated.

the quick&dirty way to get closer to the body would be playing with the "focal length" of the camera... ctrl-8 to zoom out, ctrl-0 to zoom in, ctrl-9 to reset. Won't get you inside the body tho.

Another way is to "lock" the camera not on the body, but on some object behind the body and use that as a pivoting point to get the camera real close to the avatar, but that needs lots of fiddling and/or practice.

Thanks for the quick reply! Silly as it sounds I never tried locking on a nearby object and fiddling with it that way. It does actually work and with some camera trickery I can get inside the body for those annoying lost prims. Thanks a lot for the tip! I'll definitely use it as a workaround.

Today's releases (v1.23.5.27 and v1.25.0.4) implement the new CameraConstraints patch that allows what you ask for, and more. Enjoy ! :)
