Server 1.38 is being rolled out today, and barring another showstopper bug, it'll be rolled out to the rest of the grid after all pilot regions have been upgraded. One of the new features is that it can report script memory usage to users running Viewer 2.0. Can this feature be backported into Burning Ice? I'm very curious to see how much memory my scripts use, but I don't want to use Viewer 2.0 just to do so because of how horribly it runs on my system (100% CPU usage on both cores).

Frankly this is not a priority... Why ?... Because for now, this function does not take into account the actual usage of the scripts, but only the maximum memory they could use.
To find out what would be the report for one of your scripted objects, simply use this formula: N * 16Kb + M * 64Kb Where N is the number of LSL2 scripts and M the number of Mono scripts in your object... Yes, it also means that slower and power-hungrier LSL2 scripts are reported as using less resources than Mono scripts... Stupid !
I will consider implementing this function only after LL implements it properly (with actual memory usage reporting) or gives a way for scripters to set themselves the max memory in their script (which is apparently what LL wants to do).

even though the reported amount of memory is utter bull, it does help to identify attachments that are overly scripted...
for the few hours that that feature was available in 2.0 during the previously failed server update I kinda liked it a lot...
maybe the cool ice version could just report the number of mono scripts and the number of lsl scripts?
bye, LC
