Hello Henri,

I had noticed that the text in the 1st Life tab of my profile was cut off when I log in with CoolVLViewer. So I experimented a bit and saw that the Lindens must have increased their character limits some while ago. With the official viewer (and others like Firestorm) you are now able to put more text into these fields which gets cut off in CoolVLViewer, also when viewing other people's profiles. And of course when I touch my profile from CoolVLViewer it writes back the cut off texts.

So I am wondering if it would be possible to adapt the updated limits in CoolVLViewer as well? I assume that more people would make use of that and their profiles might appear cut off otherwise.

I will add a proper limiting detection in next release (depending on the new avatar capability availability, which may not exist in all grids).

In the mean time and for SL, you can edit skins/default/xui/en-us/panel_avatar.xml in the viewer installation directory and change the "max_length" value line 52 to read max_length="65000"... That should do it.
