Is it possible to make Cool VL Remember your selected rendering settings? Advanced > Rendering > Features: I like to turn off foot shadows. I like to turn off fog. Also, Advanced > Rendering > Types... doesn't remember turning off Trees. for example. After closing Cool VL it forgets you've turned off these "Rendering Features". Would it be possible to remember their preferred setting in future Cool VL clients? -Gov |

These are pure *debug* settings, and there is a very good reason for not being persistent ones: this reason is that they are not supposed to be turned off permanently (i.e. over sessions), and would confuse non-technical users if they forgot that they turned them off in a former session... Sorry, but I will not change this. If you want, you can do it yourself, by editing the settings.xml (or settings_coolvlviewer_12x.xml for Windows) file in the app_settings/ directory, and changing the "Persist" field for the corresponding settings to 1. Note that if you want to degrade the rendering settings for trees or such, you may perfectly do it in the normal, graphics settings (in the Preference menu), by pulling the corresponding slider fully to the left. |
