Could you add a button (or maybe shortcut) that, when pressed, turns off all graphics but UI?

To survive under grief / Talk to people in weeery crowded place...

I usually press keys from "1" to "-" holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift to do so - but availibility to do this fast (maybe hidden somewhere in menus, but having shortcut, yes-yes) would be really handy

I fail to understand the usefulness of such a feature... If someone tries and grieves you, simply mute them !

What if someone griefs me by rezzing thousand overlapping sculpted prims with semitransparent textures on it or maybe a scribble with single texture, but animated, glowing and having "bump mapping"? I cant just mute them, my viewer crashes, they win. And all i want to do is to speak to friend using same viewer.

In crowded places with 40 avatars render cost up to 3000 viewer lags badly. So i have to hide them too. And i still need to speak to all those people.

Will use Ctrl+Alt+Shift+numbers, ok

If the viewer frame rate goes below 10fps, you are probably using too high graphic settings for the power of your computer... Whatever it is thrown at, the viewer should be able to deliver 10+ FPS, even in the most crowded sims. Start with reducing your draw distance, then the max particles count (these are great FPS "vampires"). Also, disabling water reflections and atmospheric shaders (in this order) can help a lot on old computers.
