(low priority) I'd like to see tags colored by viewer type (like phoenix) - if I'm trying to help someone with a "how do I do x" in a viewer (not just n00bs), it really helps to know what viewer they're using ahead of time. Yes, I know it seems counter-intuitive, but I know someone who keeps asking ME what viewer THEY are running. No, I don't know why... (it's also helpful as a visual survey of what viewers are widely in use in travels.) |

It's very unlikely to be implemented, since it relies on transmitting a fake baked texture id and the Cool VL Viewer now works just like the v2 viewers as far as texture baking goes (and it might well get wrongly identified as a v2 viewer for this reason). Plus, I find it an invasive feature (what viewer someone is running is *their* business (and secondarily LL's) and not others'). Finally, hacked viewers are around that fake other self-identifying viewers, giving you a false sense of confidence since you are presented with tampered info. |
