Sorry if this ends up being in the wrong place.....

First, I am confused on how to add a log file, and can't seem to find where it would be on my system. The names as listed under the rules do NOT exist on my end.

Anyway, I don't really know when this started, as I've not had to add names to ban list often. I do know that it worked back around January, but it wasn't until last month when I noticed it didn't work. Upon adding names to the ban list, those names would disappear after refreshing the window as well as upon relogging. The option to add is successful on firestorm, however. The official LL viewer will not install at all.

I have read back and found only information dating back to 2014, but it is not exactly the same issue. I simply cannot add names at all except when I use a different viewer. I am hoping there is a way to fix this so I don't have to switch back and forth between viewers. It gets cumbersome when I have a lot of people I now have to ban (new annoying neighbors, but I do not wish to move).

This is the info in the about section of the viewer.

Open the "Preferences" floater, select the "Network & Web" tab, and look at the "Disk cache path" input box: provided you did not change that setting, it shows a folder which parent contains the 'logs' sub-folder. Of course, to find that hidden folder from the Windoze Explorer, you have to configure the latter to see hidden files and folders.

There have been changes done to reflect the improved land management tools that LL implemented in their viewer, with permanent/temporary bans settings.

My bad: wrong initialization of a flag in the ban duration floater (which causes permanent bans to last for... 0 seconds). To work around that bug (that is now fixed for next releases), simply select the "Temporary" radio button, then back the "Permanent" radio button before clicking "OK" in the "Set ban duration" floater.
