i tried evrything, researched the web...couldnt find it yet, so i'll start this.
i am getting the same procedure entry error on the cool vl viewer at odd occasions
Procedure entry ll_init_apr@@YAXXZ not found in llcommon.dll
i am on an intel pentium 4 at 2.66 GHz with 2 GB ram, videocard is an nvidia geforce 7600 GT AGP with 512 MB ram

i have the latest drivers installed and even the latest viewer.

i cant even say what would be causing it as it's appearing so randomly.
viewer shuts down and the message above is showing in a dialogue box.
i like the viewer very much and would hate to have to use another meanwhile.

Ev
update: i noticed the message is little different: Procedure entry "?ll_init_apr@@YAXXZ" not found in llcommon.dll

I can't do anything without the Secondlife.log file. Zip it and upload the zipped file. Oh, and of course, it *must* correspond to the log you got when the viewer crashed.

There is alas not enough info in the Secondlife.log file to determine what exactly went wrong, and since Windows builds do not provide a stack_trace.log, it's impossible to know where the viewer crashed. I might try and see if I can get any useful info out of a mini-dump file and to do this, please proceed as follow:

  • Launch the viewer.
  • At the login screen, type CTRL ALT S to open the debug settings floater.
  • Type "minid" in the input line, and once "SaveMiniDump" appears in the combo, check that this variable is set to TRUE. If it's not, change it to TRUE and restart the viewer (restarting will ensure that the variable value will be saved even in case of a crash).
  • Log in and use the viewer till it crashes.
  • Recover the "SecondLife.log", "SecondLife.dmp" and "SecondLifePlus.dmp" files, zip them and post them on this forum.

The SecondLife.dmp file is unusable for me, because you are using an old Cool VL Viewer version (v1.26.2.2) that I don't have any debug symbol available for any more. Please, always use the latest released Cool VL Viewer (current version is v1.26.2.3).

Your best bet now is to wait till I release v1.26.2.4 later today or tomorrow.

here iit goes, tho i have the odd feeling the procedure entry error was just comuing by the crashhandler.exe
because now it simply shutdown without any dialopgue box and opening the crashreport window.

the plus.dmp is still too big, wayyy to big, even after packing it in ultra mode.
i get it down to app. 800kb. thats the smallest
