First instance of a sound no longer played in 1.26.2.10

Hi Henri, hello everyone,
I'm observing that the first instance of a sound is no longer played for me ever since running 1.26.2.10. If the same sound is triggered again within a reasonable timeframe afterwards, it plays fine, however. No, I am not referring to any delay issues; the sound is simply never played. Anybody else out there who can corroborate this?
This is on Ubuntu 10.04, using OpenAL. Used to work like a charm in the past with previous versions of Cool.
I noticed there was a crash fix regarding bad sounds in 1.26.2.10, so I wonder if that might be related ... ?

Yes, I noticed that too, and it's indeed due to the bad fix I backported from v3... A fix to a bug that doesn't even affect fmod (only OpenAL) and that is put in the wrong place anyway. I made a proper fix to the crash bug that doesn't affect sound playing (basically reverting the changes made in 1.26.2.10).
