but as you can see this is a problem

the missing other prims are new too. I was using 1.26.4.9 yesterday and did not have this problem.

My guess is that you forgot to remove all the attached rigged meshes before using the "Rebuild avatar" feature...

This can only be a guess since you didn't follow the rules for this forum and didn't provide the logs...

In addition to what Henri said, rule-of-thumb for weird problems like this is to clear your cache and relog. Then try if you can reproduce the error.

I also noticed that you have quite some packet-loss. I don't know the internals of how the network-protocol between server and client works, but ANY packet-loss can cause problems as the client may not get important updates from the server.

I wasn't wearing any rigged meshes. I only wear a deformer that stretches my shape so I fit in the body of a horse. When I remove all everything comes off. I know this my AV and how coolviewer responds. I've been using this av for the last 2 years. And I've used coolviewer for nearly 4.

Yes it may be that the lost packets caused some odd behaviors but this manifestation only showed up when I hopped on a dance ball. when I was standing normally it didn't show up.

Hopefully that's some more helpful info. I'll revert to .9 and see if I still have the problem.

Thanks

Silky

If, by "deformer", you mean a scripted object that forces a joint-deforming animation on your avatar, then it's the same problem was with rigged meshes: you MUST remove that object (and possibly "Stop Animating my Avatar" in the "World" menu if the deforming animation player is buggy and fails to stop the animation when it is detached) prior to using the "Rebuild avatar" feature, else joints positions get all messed up.

The truly helpful info is in the logs. Please, abide by the rules of this forum and *always* provide the logs when submitting a bug report, *even* if you think it's useless.

There is absolutely no difference between v1.26.4.9 and v1.26.4.10 in how the avatars are rendered. As long as you don't use the "Rebuild avatar" feature that was implemented in v1.26.4.10, there can't be any difference in the results you will obtain.

Yes I removed everything before using the rebuild avatar. Thank you for explaining that.

Sorry I'll try to figure out what else I could have provided.

Thanks. I had hoped that Rebuild would fix a problem that the deformer has that people not looking at me when I stop the deformer still see me stretched out would fix.

I won't trouble you with more comments on this.

.9 works fine.

Toodles

As explained in the release notes the "rebuild avatar" feature only works for *you* and in order for others to see your avatar undeformed, you need to TP away and back in, so that your avatar data (which is corrupted in their viewer) is erased (after you TPed out) and then reloaded (when you TP back in).

This is the expected behaviour !

Had you explained clearly that the deformation was only seen in others' viewers, I won't have lost my time trying to find another cause, and not even with logs to check what could have happened...

Next time, please follow the rules to the letter; failing to do it makes only everyone loose time and tends to get (badly) on my nerves...

Really and truly? I didn't say it was seen in other's viewers because it was only being viewed that way in MY viewer. .10 I'm sorry you wasted your time.

If I report on something being a bug. It's not a normal behavior. Thanks and have a good day

So it's clear, now that I have the time to type it all out.

the deformer that the Water Horse av uses causes people not viewing the change back to normal form to not be updated. This is a known issue through out SL. I had hoped that the avatar Reform would help. It did not. that is expected as well. I do understand that for everyone in the sim to get the new data, tping out and back is needed.

the person I'm dancing with did not see the mesh distortion of my human body when i was on or off the dance ball. And I only saw the distortion when I cammed out about 15 meters. under that, I looked normal in all ways.

I don't care if you spend more time responding to this or not. Thanks for reminding me to look at your rules several times.

Have a lovely day.
