Some graphical preferences lost in 1.26.6, works in 1.26.4

When I go to edit->preferences->graphics I checkmark (enable) Basic Shaders and Atmospheric Shaders. I go to different tabs in the preferences, and those stay. But if I push Apply, and then OK, and leave preferences, I see a 'flash' of sorts on the screen, and when I go back to edit->preferences->graphics, the checkmark next to those items is lost. This all works fine in 1.26.4, and the settings in that release work beautifully.

This is not a bug !

The Cool VL Viewer v1.26.4 uses the v2.6 renderer while v1.26.5 and later versions use the v3.4 renderer.

The said renderers simply got different shaders and use different OpenGL calls that are not compatible between each others. Modern GPUs and drivers will be happier with v3.4, while old GPUs and drivers will only work to their full features with v2.6.

Just use whichever version is best for you.

Intel GPUs (or APUs) are clearly not within the viewer requirements. Use NVIDIA (preferred, by far, as they got the best OpenGL implementation), or AMD/ATI cards.
