[EDIT]: Just deleted my previous settings.xml and tried with fresh one: didn't fix it. As soon as I disable Advanced Lighting it stays greyed out and I can't reenable it.

The following entries are disabled for me after upgrading the client today (it all still works in the latest 1.26.8 version):

- Advanced Lighting Model
- Hardware Skinning
- Avatar Cloth
- Terrain Textures Detail

Moving the camera (Alt + Mousemove) is very jaggy too.

Did something important change in the 1.26.9 version that requires a todo on my side? :-o

GPU-Table is the same in both installation folders.

Quality and Performance got set to "High" instead of "Ultra". If I move it to Ultra, I see shadows and all. "Advanced Lighting" is still greyed out and off. But if I close the Preferences and reopen them, Advanced Lighting is enabled, Hardware Skinning and Avatar Cloth . If I now disable it, it is greyed out immediately and I can't reenable it, Hardware Skinning and Avatar Cloth are disabled and greyed out, then, too.

Something's weird here. The graphics preferences page is somewhate inconsistent, too. Right now I see shadows but the Advanced Lighting is not enabled.

This is not a bug specific to the Cool VL Viewer, but rather a consequence of the new rendering engine and shaders used by LL's v3.6 (materials) viewer. I can't do anything for it. The fixes will come to v1.26.9 as they come to LL's viewer-development-materials' branch.

You should rather report such bugs on the official JIRA as a MATBUG, using LL's materials viewer as a base for the bug reports (beware, LL's release cycle is much slower than the Cool VL Viewer v1.26.9 one, so bugs seen in the latter may appear only weeks later in LL's viewer, or get fixed in the interval in both LL's viewer and Cool VL Viewer v1.26.9).

Just checked, none of the problems happening with the LL materials viewer Second Life 3.6.2 (278784) Jul 18 2013 15:45:54 (Second Life Project Materials).

The settings on the graphics tab behave all well and I have no jerking movement of the camera when moving away from the avatar with Advanced Light enabled.

And what I have found: with the LL client bumped items dont lose their bumpiness temporary to work themselves back to full bumpiness but still at full bump resolution all time.

Something must be different.

Any ideas?
Like I explained, LL's materials viewer lags behind the current changes committed to viewer-development-materials while the Cool VL Viewer v1.26.9 always reflects the latest changes when it is released. v1.26.9.19, released on the 27th is therefore almost two weeks worth of commits ahead of LL's viewer 3.6.2 (278784) Jul 18 2013.

Ah so, okay.

Bah, LL client is all flashing and blinking and chat window stealing focus all the time, it's sooo annoying.

Looks like today's version of the client (20) fixed the problem. Graphics tab behaves all well again. :-)
